Online Blackjack Switch
Blackjack Switch is an increasingly popular variation on the classic game of Blackjack that allows you to do something you may not have thought possible- switch cards between hands in order to win.
How to Play: All of the rules of basic Blackjack are the same except for as follows:
The game is played with 6 decks (or eight at offline casinos).
Dealer hits on a soft 17.
All cards are dealt face up for players, but one down for dealer. Dealer Blackjack means all hands lose except for player Blackjack, which then becomes a push.
The player must make two equal-size bets, one for each hand dealt.
Players may switch cards between hands to make one better. For instance, if a player has a ten in each hand, and wants to switch so that one of his hands has two tens for a total of 20, he may do so.
Doubling is allowed on any 2 cards, or on a split. Only one split is allowed.
A dealer can go to 22 without busting. A dealer 22 will beat all player hands except Blackjack.
Blackjack pays even money.
Insurance is offered at 2:1 odds.
Blackjack Switch Tips
If there is a bonus bet, do not play it. You will lose this bet more often than you will win it. It is nice to win the extra money, but unless you are very lucky, the occasional wins (which only come on a Blackjack) will likely not make up for the numerous lost bets.
Remember that, unlike regular Blackjack, Switch only pays 1:1 odds on a Blackjack, since switching cards increases your chances of winning. Keep this in mind when betting.
Insurance is NOT recommended because of the high house advantage
As with any gambling game, only increase your bets if you are winning.
Remember that the decks are shuffled after every game in Switch, so card counting is futile.
Blackjack Switch Strategy
This is a handy chart that you can use to plot your play while playing at a six-deck online casino Blackjack Switch game. Though it is comprehensive, it is by no means foolproof. Luck does play into some hands, so remember that this chart will definitely improve your play but will not guarantee a win.
